2. Medical Programs: Supplying Medical Equipment to The Sri Sakthi Health Care Trust for The Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Center
Program Goal: Purchase of medical hospital equipment and medical equipment parts.
Program Benefit: This program allows Canadians Sharing to improve local health outcomes by donating medical supplies and equipment to The Sri Narayani Hospital in Thirumalaikodi, South India. Residents receive medical care on a needs basis and many services are without charge. We contribute by directly purchasing equipment identified by the hospital in order to facilitate the expansion of services that better meet the quickly growing local demand.
How the Program Works in South India: We work with a registered Indian Charity in the Vellore District of South India, Tamil Nadu State to improve local health care outcomes. With the help of our charitable partner The Sri Sakthi Amma Health Care Trust we donate desperately needed medical equipment to the 500 bed Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Center. The Sri Narayani Hospital provides affordable and often free health care to the Vellore District community. We provide and maintain medical equipment to support the
existing medical programs at The Sri Narayani Hospital to address the health needs of the local community. The Sri Sakthi Amma Health Care Trust identifies medical equipment and maintenance needs to Canadians Sharing. We select and purchase parts and equipment identified as a priority by The Health Care Trust directly from the manufacturer or supplier and have the item shipped directly to to The Sri Narayani Hospital with the warranty. The Hospital arranges the logistics and engages the equipment in existing programs to facilitate the expansion of medical services to meet growing new local demand. Medical equipment we have supplied includes a dialysis machine, an anesthesia work station, wheel chairs, medical transport cots, crash carts and miscellaneous smaller hospital items.
